Where's Ellen?

Why doesn't the author have Ellen return at the end of the story?

  1. I think that Ellen did not return because she was taken care of by Sweden. And maybe she went to a boat and was coming back after the threats were over.

  2. Ellen doesn't return at the end of the story because the author wants you to be thinking about what would happen if Ellen returned.

  7. If Ellen returned, our minds wouldn't be spinning. Authors always want our minds to be turning and spinning after.
