The Danish hated the Germans and how they occupied Denmark, so the people started a resistance called the Danish resistance. They blew up railroads and companies that cooperated with the Nazis, and the illegal press was being published more than ever. The Germans tried to put a stop to it, and suceeded in killing around 2000 of the Danish police and resistance fighters.
