    2. They might ask her name but she will probably say Ellen Johanson not Ellen Rosen. So, no.

      Delete
    3. they probably will not because ellen is pretending to be a johanson and not a rosen so they may believe her except if it is the two soldiers from osterbrogade because when they asked annmarie who ellen was she said:

      that's my friend ellen
      so they may know

  5. Do you think that Nazis will discover the ileagle newspaper and kill Peter? Why or why not.

    ReplyDelete

    1. They might. If a Jew is reading it and then a Nazi soldier just bursts on in and threatens to kill if he doesn't tell who made it. Then they will kill Peter when they find him.

    2. I think the Nazi's will find out about the newspaper but not find Peter.

  8. Do you think the Johansons made a good plan? Can you make a better one?

    ReplyDelete

    1. A better one would be dye Ellen's hair blonde so she would resemble Annemarie and they could be twins. Otherwise, the plan is good.

      Delete
    2. Your right Mary because sisters look alike and if they dye her hair blonde and if they made Ellen wear AnneMarie's clothes it would be like they shared things like clothes.

      Delete
    3. All the Rosens stay with the Johansons. They dye/bleach their hair blonde and say they are non Jewish people coming in from Norway.

    1. Hi Mary!
In many ways, you could consider all of the Jews as being friends with eachother. Their common characteristic of being Jewish helped them get through the times. Often, people who were escaping helped eachother even if they did not know them. They were all in the same situation and NOT working together wouldn't help them at all!

    1. Hi Joey!
For many families in Nazi Germany, it was a struggle to decide what to share with kids and what to keep a secret. It could make them much more nervous to hide, and it was VERY important for them to cooperate when their families were in danger. Imagine living in a dark room. Would you want to know information about the warfare going on outside and the struggles of people dying? Probably not, since you are already stressed. It would be much better to live your life (even if you may die soon) in celebration and joy, rather than in pain and solitude.

      Delete
    2. It would be hard to live all cramped up where nobody knows about you, but if you were a Jew and you lived like everybody else, you would probably die, but it might be worth it if you didn't care about dying. If you did hide and never came out until it was safe, you'd probably live, and think that it was worth it. It depends on who you ask.

    2. good thinking erik

      Delete
    3. That might be it, but what would the trap be? A boxing glove or something? I think that the coffin has a secret door underneath it and when the soldiers step on the loose step, it triggers a warning that the soldiers are there and so Ellen can go through the secret door and the soldiers won't know where she is.

    4. Micheal did you read a head
