    3.I learned about the war.The Germans took over many countries.They didn't take over Sweden.

    4.The fisher man/women used dead nasty fish to keep the German soldiers away.

  7. I have learned that, if you try to save many, but result in ending your own life, it is better than saving yourself, but getting many others killed for your own protection.

    2. I learned that The Star of David was a sign of Jewish religion.

    4. I learned that when the Nazi occupation was going on it was very terrifying.

  13. Its harder for people to lie if they what there lying about,because most of the time people can tell when your lying. Its easy to tell the truth when you Know that it really is true.

  14. 1. I learned that the Resistance used the cocaine to keep dogs from smelling the Jews.

    2. I learned that you shouldn't know everything after all, and that it would keep you safe.

    3. I learned that bravery comes with a price, that you can't worry about yourself. Fear comes from selfishness, and bravery comes first. Putting others before you is more than bravery. It comes from within your mind, and your heart.

  15. 1.The Nazis invaded Denmark in WW 2.

    2.In WW 2 Fisherman used a hankerchief with rabbit blood and cocan on it to keep Jews hidden by letting the search dogs smell the hankerchief and the cocan destroyed the dogs sense of smell for a short time.

    3.The star of david is very importantt to the Jewish religon.

  16. First I learned a ton about the German occupation and WW2. But I also learned What Danish people did to help save Jewish people.The one thing I liked and thought was the most clever thing,they people put rabbit blood and cocain on handkerchiefs so when dogs smell it the cocain nums their smell.

    1.)Lise was in the resistance.

    2.)what cocaine is.

    3.)how Peter and Lise died.

    4.)the fishermen would put stinky fish on the floor to get the Nazis away.

    5.)neighbors/friends of Jews escaped would go in their homes and apartments and keep the house clean.

    OBVIOUSLY (goal of unit):help others before you and you will find happiness

    Being brave is not thinking about the bad things that could happen and focusing about what's right

  19. I learned that people risked their lives for other people. People cared greatly for Jews. One handkerchief could go a long way. German men were forced to be soldiers. Peter Neilsen was based off of a real person. Scientists helped the Danish resistance out a lot by making the handkerchief that was life saving. I learned that if you help a friend it would help yourself. Almost everyone in Denmark helped Jews escape and that is what matters.

  23. In the story of Number The Stars I learned that in the boats at the harbor there was a little hiding spot for the people that were Jewish to hide. Also, I learned that in a handkerchief they put a chemical that smells like rabbit blood and attracts the dogs the Nazis took with them and when the dogs smells the handkerchief it makes their smelling bad so they won't smell people on the boats.
