  1. I think that the packet contained visas or passports that would allow the Rosens to get to their destination.

  2. I think inside the packet is Ellen's star of david or a docking pass in Sweden so that Uncle Henrik could dock in Sweden. Or perhaps it was some kind of fishing registration so that Henrik could prove that he was fishing not helping jews escape.

  16. It could be important because those could be visas that everyone needs to go to Sweeden. It could also be proof that the government said they could travel to Sweeden.

  18. I think that without the packet the Jews can't get into Sweden. If Annemarie doesn't make it to the harbor in time that Sweden could think that they aren't refugees since their is no proof because they don't have the Star of David with them ethier because they could not wear them or the Nazis would see the star and do something bad to them.

  19. I think it is Ellen's necklace they had to hide it with Uncle Henrik because he is on a boat in the water and the Nazi soldiers would not expect anything sispishous from a fisherman.

  25. I think in the packet there are visas allowing the Jews to move without the soldiers being watchful. This may also be another why we read the story of sughira book.

  29. I think that the packet contained Ellen's necklace because he spesificicly gave it to Ellen's dad and Peter may have found it and asoumed it was hers so he wanted to give it back to her as a reminder of her freindship with Annemarie. Or their were passports in the package so the family's could get into Swedean.

  32. I think it was Ellen's Star of Davids necklace. I also believe that there is a note that explains why Annemarie put it in there and also how much she misses her and hopes she gets there safly. Peter gave this to Mr. Rosen because he is the father of Ellen and if he gives this to Uncle Henrik, then he can say that it is for Ellen and that is why we gave this to you, so you can give this to Ellen.

  39. I think that in the packet were the visa´s that would enable all the jews to get into Sweden. As I learned in the Sugihara Story visa´s are kind of like passports that allow imagrants to go into another country.

  40. I think that there are legal papers or Visas in the packet. The Visas would allow the refugees to be in Sweden.

  41. I think there might of been two things in the packet. One a boat license for Uncle Henrik so if he were to be caught by any soldiers he would have a pass to show them. Two Visas, if the mother said it might of been all for nothing it meant the traveling Jews would be sent back and all of them would be in deep trouble.
