No, all of them did not lead a happy ending. Reader, happy endings, like desperaux belived at one point, aren't always going to be there or even exist. Mig gets her father back. He got to live amongst light and dark as he pleased, but never really fit in to either of them. As Kate dicamelo said,"A rat with a broken heart, cannot be fixed". Well reader, I won't here much of Kate dicamelo's great stories like "Because of winn-dixie" until I get around to reading them. Well,bye reader!
No, Mig never got to live her dream of being a princess and Roscuro is allowed to be in both the light of upstairs and the darkness of the dungeon, but I don't think he still entirely fits in.
For Mig and the Pea they are still suffering the loss of their moms and the king feels the same way about the queen. Roscuro can go in the light or dark, but doesn't fit in either. Finally Despereaux has to live with memories of the dungeon and the fact he almost got killed by a kitchen knife.
i think the ending wasn't happy for everyone. even though rosuro got to live in the light and the dark he still did not fit in really anywhere. and it was not happy for gregory because he got lost in the darkness it was happy for desperaux though because he complete his quest and saved the princess and it was not happy for miggery sow because she didn't become a princess
No, not to my knowledge. Roscuro never really belonged in the light or the dark. He must be so miserable right now......
