Despereaux 10: Mig is Coming Over for Dinner!

Miggery Sow is coming for dinner.  Write a letter home to Mom or Dad and tell them about your friend you're bringing over for dinner.  Tell them what they should expect when Mig comes to your home.

  1. I think they should expect to talk a little louder than usual and be very kind because apparrently Mig isn't being treated very kindly in her "home".

  2. Reader, indeed mig has probably seen better days and needs more care. Shes forever longed for someone who truly cares for her. Reader, whats the rest of the story. I do not know but we sure will find out in book the 4th and final!

  3. OK Carter and Colette... What would you need to warn your family about before Mig showed up at your house?

  5. I think I should warn my parents to speak LOUD so she can here. I would also warn then that she hasn't been cared for correctly in the past.

  6. Good point Mr Wilhelmy, Mig is definitly deaf from all those "clouts to the ear" and I should tell my family that Mig is strange and may take awhile to get used to.

  7. Dear Marilyn and David Kysela of the Household,
Someone named Miggory Sow is coming over for dinner. Call her Mig. She's quite..... interesting. She's quite deaf, so please speak LOUD for her to hear. She's very mistreated, so please respect her well. She was traded from her dad for a pack of ciggerettes (I don't know how to spell it, sorry), a hen and a red cloth. See you tomorrow for supper!

  15. Expect not-so-good manners, someone who eats alot, and lots 'o' slang.also you will have to shout, because she gets alot of "good clouts to the ear"

  16. Dear Parents,
My dear friend Miggery Sow is coming over for dinner. Please talk loudly because she cannot hear very clearly. Her mother is no longer living and her dad sold her for a pack of ciggerates, a red cloth and a hen, so please don't talk about her mom or dad. Also, be generous and kind becuase people don't usually give her the respect that she deserves. Be prepared when she comes over for supper.
