Do you believe Despereaux deserved to be sent to the dungeon? Were his actions worthy of such a harsh punishment?
If you were on the Council of the Mouse, how would you vote? Would you send Despereaux to the rats, or would you do something different? Explain your thoughts clearly.
Despereaux did not deserve to be sent to the dungeon. If I were on the Mouse Council I would vote NO because Despereaux only did it for love, only for love.

DeleteDesperaux DOESN'T deserve such of all harsh punishments. I would vote no. I agree that love isn't a very good answer, but it does have some potential!
ReplyDeleteIf I was the mouse council and Desperaux exposed the mouse world to the humans I would not send him to the dungeon but I would still punish him.And he has a reason to live so he can be with Princess Pea.

ReplyDeleteNow most people would say "lets keep desperaux here in the city" but I do think that it is because its through a humans eyes. Desperaux is indeed, a criminal, and should be punished for is actions. I truly think that people like us would say "Awe, he is just a little mouse?" But, reader, tell me in the mice eyes is Desperaux truly innocent? To be found out in book the second,Chiaroscuro.

ReplyDeleteI do think Despereaux to be punished for his actions but I don't think he should be sent to the rats to die. If I was the mouse council I would say he should get punished by never seeing the princess pea again and warning him to never talk to a human or else.

ReplyDeleteI would try to give him a second chance, but if he dangers the kingdom again, he should be punished. Desperaux hasn't really learned how to be a normal mouse yet. Maybe, once he learns how to be a regular mouse, he won't get in so much trouble.

ReplyDeleteIf I were the mouse council I would hold an election. I would also have other branches of government to balance things out. And if more say yes instead of sending him to the dungean he would go into a room were people that break go for a sertain amout of years and then be sent back out into the world
