  1. question 1. I think Mrs. Hirsh has been taken away by the Germans becasue they took the list of the Jews and are now hunting them down and then relocating them. question 2.I think Peter Nelson is a ressistince fighter because he's helping hiding Jews and knows about all of this stuff going on in Denmark.I think he is also a freind of theirs for sure too..
question 3. She had to stay with them becasue the Germans took the list at the chinagoge and now are hunting the them. Her parents didn't stay with her because they with suspect that they were hiding them since there was another family there.

  2. I found out that Ellen's family, and the Johansens live in Denmark and The Yellow Star stories takes place their, and obviously all of the books take place in WW2. Another thing is that both the butterfly and this book have 2 girls that live in WW2 that try to have thier friends who are girl Jews escape. Maybe another simularity between those two books is that the parents of the girls die we just have yto find out!

  3. When the Germans took the Paper from the Cinagog it reminded me of the butterfly because the same thing happened with Mosuer Marcs. He got taken away because they got the paper so, they knew that his name and adress

  5. I think of Joseph when I think of Number the Stars because Joseph and Annemarie are both trying to help people escape treason. In Joseph, he was trying to help slaves escape and doing that was illegal. Also, in Number the Stars, Annemarie is helping a Jewish refugee friend of hers, and including her parents, escape to Sweden against the German law.

  6. I think Joseph Byers and Annemarie Johanson share something in common. Both Annemarie and Joseph both help runways or refugees escape, even though both knew it was illegal.

  7. I think of in the North Star the Legend of King Christian the tenth because he trusts the people of Denmark with his life just like how Ellen trusted her life with the Johansens.
