Danger Along the Ohio: Final Thoughts

  What did you learn from the characters?  What can you infer about the historical time period and life in the Ohio Country?  We've been talking about theme in reading class.  What theme do you think Patricia Willis is communicating to her readers.  Please defend your response with evidence from the text.  Thank you for participating.

  1. I learned that the historic time period Amos, Clara, and Jonathan lived in had many difficulties. They had to watch every move they made. From the characters I learned that in difficult times you had to find a way to to keep going. When Amos, Clara, and Jonathan were on there journey to find their father, no matter how tiered or weak they were they kept going. I think Patricia Wills was trying to tell us that we should always be determined and never give. Also that we should keep on trying and never give up. Danger Along the Ohio was a great book!
