Probably. In the book though, they weren't really friends, but Amos wanted to be. Red Moccasin, on the other hand, didn't think of Amos as a friend, he just respected him for saving his life. If they spent more time together, I bet it would work out.

Red Moccasin is independent while Amos follows his sister. I think if they just had a little more time together they could become friends.
