  2. The packet has something very important that will help Uncle Henrik. I am guessing it will have visas in it. Visas are very important! Without them, the Jews would never be allowed to go to Sweden! I don't think it's maps because I remember hearing that Denmark can see Sweden from across the sea. If they can see Sweden they can followit and they will eventually get to Sweden.

  5. I think in the packet is a map or key for something and its very important to have because if he didn't have it they could not get in to Sweden. This would be bad because Sweden was free and they needed that map or key to help them go there. Mr. Rosen dropped it from his pocket when he stumbled down their loose steps which caused their trip to Sweden very hard. Annemarie now has to take it back to Mr. Rosen before it is to late and they have already left. But there could be problems with soldiers on the way and that's why her mother warned her.

  7. I think it is a message in code about which part in Sweden to take the Jew. Or it could be directions to Sweden. I think it is very important to have so they don't get lost at sea or get cought by Nazis.

  9. I think it is a ticket that the Rosens need to leave or go into Sweden. So they are safe from the soldiers trying to take them.

  10. I think the packet could have a map or visas in it so everyone can get to Sweden. Having a visa is very important because if you don't you won't be allowed into Sweden.

  11. I think when Mrs. Johansen says,"It may have all been for nothing she means that there is something so important in that packet that without it the plan will fail. I think the very important thing in the packet is visas because they need them to get to Sweden.

  12. I have many therories on what it might be so I will share a couple with you, because there might be more than one thing inside the packet. I think Bens Idea is pretty good because Henrik might need directions to go to Sweeden, there also might be three visas in the packet with the map.

  13. What I think is special about the packet is that, since Mr.Rosen accidentally tripped over the step and dropped the package, it may cause all this hard work FOR NOTHING! I think what´s inside of the package is either a Visa or a map. I think a visa is very important because when they go to Sweden they may have to bring a visa to stay there. I think it could also be a map because when they get there they would probably need the map to tell them where to go.

  14. I also think that it is a code for someone to read then they are free ,or it could be a visa.

  15. The packet is so special because I think it has something very important in it. There's allot of thing's that could be in there I think there's meat in it because the next chapter is called My dog's smell meat. I don't really know what it is for but I know it's really specail for the slave family. I don't know why though.

  16. I think there is more than one thing for uncle Henrik. The first thing is a map because I think he is going to sweden because that's where its safe but he need's to know were to go.And the next thing is passsport's to get into sweden. And last there may be money so the people hiding them can get food .And it is inportant because the lives of the people on the ship's lives might depend on it.And also on the lives of the danish resistance who are fighting against the Nazi.

  17. A map. There might be the star of Davids. It's important so if the soldiers caught them they would say they are rushing home.

  20. It is important because if there is something in there that is really important and they lost it the could be in trouble. I think is a visa.

  22. I think that the packet is important because there may be something important in the packet that has to go to Uncle Henrik. I think that there is a set of directions inside the packet that Uncle Henrik has to use to get to Denmark to Sweden. I also think that there is The Star Of David that Ellen had on her neck when the soldiers came into the Johansen's apartment. I think this important to Uncle Henrik because when Uncle Henrik gets The Rosens and Ellen to Sweden I think that Uncle Hinrik will give Ellen The Star of David back to Ellen.

  23. I think the package is so important because it has directions, or a map or something. It is important for Uncle Henrik to have it because he might need it to guide the Rosens to Sweden.

  24. I think it is a visa or it mite be a lot of food. the visa could save evrybodeis lives, if they did not have it they could not get from Denmark to Sweden. But it is a long trip so they need food.

  25. I think the packet is so important because it might be a ticket or a visa to travel through Sweden. If they don't get it they will be sent back and caught by the Nazi's. It could also be directions to where they need to go to be safe.

  26. I believe that the packet the inside of it is a visa because it would have saved many peopleś lifes and they could not get to Denmark to Sweden without the visa.

  27. I think it is there ticket to freedom, or something to help them get from Denmark to Sweden. I think it could have been a passport, or transportation pass that would allow everyone to pass through Sweden, or even get clearence from the Nazis to leave port. If Uncle Henrik dosen't recive the packet, he won't be able to leave.

  31. It might be a visa to pass through or live in Sweden. If they don't have them, they won't be able to be safe.

  32. maybe it is a visa from Denmark to Sweden. It could also be a train ticket or something else that lets the swedes let them know that they were Jews.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I believe inside the packet is tickets to get across the land of Sweden. Or maybe it's a passport to Sweden. You can't just go to a country without passports. Maybe the passport has fake names so then the Jews can't get caught!

  34. I think the packet is so important because their might be something inside that will help in Sweden like currency or a visa. They won't be able to travel through Sweden without a visa.

  35. I think it is important because it could possibly be a visa or a ticket of some kind that they needed to get to Sweden. If they don't have the visa they might be sent back and caught by the Nazi's. So all of that work would be for nothing without that visa. I also think it could be a Star of David.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is probably a ticket for a train ride or visa's to travel through Sweeden. But when the dogs smell meat I was confused. Maybe there was meat on the bread.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think that there is a Visas in the packet or possabley some sort of map.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I think it might have been something that they would need to have to pass into Sweden. All most like an Easy pass ( which is what we have on land passing into a new state) but just on water. So if they did not have it they would not be able to pass.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think the packet contains tickets to get to Sweden. In an earlier video, it said in order for the Jews to get to Sweden, they would have to have a round ticket. But it would only be punched once. So if all the Jews on Hendrik's boat had a ticket, then they could get in to Sweden safely. It is important for Uncle Hendrik to have because then everybody on his boat would be safe.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think it could be a list of names that he could cross off for every person on the move. Nazis could find it though. It could be a Visa for the Jewish people to use. The Star of David, maybe?

  42. I think the packet is a visa for the Jews to get into Sweden. If he does not have the visas the Jews wont be able to stay.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think the packet is very important since it may carry a visa, or something that the Jews-Ellen, the Rosens, and the people who came also-may need very greatly to survive.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think that it would be a Visa or a train ticket, so that they would be able to stay in Sweden unhurt. They would need a Visa to safely get and stay in Sweden.

  45. I think that the packet is so important because Peter said that it was so critical and important that it gets to Uncle Henrik to Mr. Rosen. I think that maybe all of the Jews´ stars on their necklaces are in the packet. Earlier on, Annemarie took of Ellen´s necklace. Maybe Uncle Henrik was going to throw them in the ocean or something to get rid of traces that they were Jewish.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think Ellen's necklace could be in the packet because Peter said that it is vrey important or it could maybe even a visa to Sweden from Denmark.

  47. The packet can have something important for the Jewish. I think that Uncle Henrik needs the envelop because there can be tickets for the Jewish so they can be free from the Nazi's. The envelop might have something Uncle Henrik needs to get the Jewish to safety.

  48. When Mama said,"It may have been all for nothing",she could have meant that the package fell and she had to rush back. It was left back and she would have to make the jorney all over again, but she has Annmarie to take it.

  50. It contains fake IDs for the Jewish people, and if the Nazis told them to show them their IDs, they would have fake ones, and if they had to give them their real IDs because they didn't have the fake ones.

  52. 1. I possibly think that the packet is a secret code. It would make sense because it might be a code to tell Uncle Henrick were to go and how to get there.
    ]
    2. I think it might be Visa's for the run away Jewish people. This makes sense because the Rosens and the other people might be escaping to Sweden and need Visa's to live there.
